Mark Jackson is an artist who works in a variety of mediums including acrylic paints, clay, soapstone, and wood. He was born overseas in Malta but has resided in Canada for most of his life. For the majority of his life he has lived on Vancouver Island , British Columbia where he spent his working life as a High School Art Teacher. Mark is now retired and lives part of the year in Baja, Mexico. He gains much of his inspiration from nature, particularly the ocean and marine life. When Mark spends his time on Vancouver Island, he paints mostly scenery from the Pacific North West, whereas when he is in Baja he spends his time painting desert landscapes.
